Due to concerns surrounding COVID-19 and after significant discussion and consultation over the last week, CSA leadership has cancelled the Annual Meeting, scheduled for April 2-5 in San Diego.
Dear Valued Members and Partners:
Due to concerns surrounding COVID-19 and after significant discussion and consultation over the last week, CSA leadership has cancelled the Annual Meeting, scheduled for April 2-5 in San Diego – with no plans to reschedule or convene the meeting via web conference.
While this was a difficult decision, given the many contributions made to conduct a successful and productive meeting, there truly was no practical way to convene in San Diego, due to restrictions placed on nonessential travel, advisories against travel to those over age 60, and CSA members’ important role in promoting patient safety and protecting public health.
CSA leadership recognizes the adverse financial impact of a late cancellation due to contractual obligations to the host hotel for room nights and food and beverage costs and has directed staff to mitigate associated cancellation fees.
We do hope to present some programming scheduled for the Annual Meeting to CSA members via Zoom conference. Please watch for updates.
In addition, committee meetings, originally scheduled to be in person during the Annual Meeting, will be conducted on Saturday April 4. If you are a member of a committee, please watch for a revised committee meeting schedule.
We wish to express our special thanks to 2020 Annual Meeting Program Chair, Richard Applegate II, MD, FASA and his team for their efforts in preparing a quality program…which we can’t wait to experience in San Diego in 2021!
CSA staff will be in touch with each registrant and exhibitor in the next several days to provide instructions for refunds.
Please contact email@example.com if you have questions or comments.
