Opt-out Decision Delayed
The CSA/CMA lawsuit scheduled to be heard on August 23 has been delayed until October 8. In mid-August the California Association of Nurse Anesthetists made its own motion for summary judgment motion and the hearing was set for November 2. In addition, the Attorney General's office was planning to file its own motion for summary judgment which would be set for hearing even later in November. CSA and CMA agreed to combining all three parties' motions and holding the hearing on October 8.
In the meantime, CSA and CMA legal counsel will be preparing our replies to CANA's and the Attorney General's oppositions to our motions as well as oppositions to their motions. We will keep you apprised of developments.
