Registration/Instructions

Method of Participation: The physician will read and study the materials, complete a self-assessment and evaluation of the module. Some modules will have slides available.

To register for and complete this module online:

  1. Read and study all of the module pages.
  2. Go to the test questions at the bottom of the page.
  3. Click on the test questions link to reach the next web page.
  4. Members simply log in to the members area with their usernames and passwords to take the test. This registers the member automatically.
  5. Non-members go to the registration page and enter their information, including payment information.
  6. Once registered, complete the self-assessment test questions and the evaluation.
  7. Print the CME certificate.

Estimated Time to Complete the Module: One hour.

The California Society of Anesthesiologists is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to sponsor continuing medical education for physicians.

The California Society of Anesthesiologists Educational Programs Division designates this educational activity for a maximum of 12 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™. Each physician should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Fees

The modules are free to CSA members. Non-members pay $30 for each module. Each module is worth one AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™

Target Audience

California law now requires that every physician* licensed prior to 2003 complete 12 credit hours in pain management and end-of-life care by the end of 2006. Each module available fulfills one AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™ toward that requirement. This program is intended for all licensed physicians, including anesthesiologists, residents, and physicians with an interest in pain management.

Physicians licensed after 2002 have four years to complete the 12 CME credits required to satisfy Assembly Bill 487.

Evaluation

An evaluation of each module of this series is offered after the test questions. Please complete the evaluation and then print the CME certificate.
